A 1983 “studio” recording with an iteration of Audio Letter. I was the vocals, reading some bits from Vasili Rosanov’s philosophical tracts, and Raoul Vaneigem’s “The Revolution of Everyday Life.” Recorded in Sue Ann’s room using the Tascam 4 track cassette recorder/mixer she owned.
You may recall, towards the end of Sick Burn Cut, while Mary and Husain are in Spokane, Washington they find out about treasure that is supposed to be at 12th Street and Vine in Kansas City, Missouri. Periodically people ask me what the treasure is and where I got this idea and is there really a 12th Street and Vine.
No, there isn’t a movie, yet. Maybe someday.
At the end of the story, as the sun is setting behind them off camera, Mary and Husayn are in their car driving east out of Spokane along I-5 heading up into the Rocky Mountains. As their car pulls ahead and up into the mountains and the car disappears out of sight, this tune starts up and plays through the closing credits.
